Preparing for Puppy
Bringing your puppy home for the first time can be stressful for both you and your puppy. We want this transition to flow as seamlessly as possible so we have created this page to help you do so.

Before you bring your puppy home you should have everything you need to support him/her. Every puppy goes home with a starter kit, but that does not include everything that you need! The other necessities outside of the puppy kit are: a crate (essential for potty training), dog toenail clippers/a groomer, enzymatic odor/stain remover, a veterinarian (have one picked out), and puppy food (the amount supplied with the kit won't last long! start with Diamond Naturals Large Breed Puppy Food). There are many other items that will keep your dog living happy and comfortable. I have curated this guide to help you get started. I highly recommend registering for the lifetime training membership with Baxter and Bella indicated in the guide. My partner code provides 25% off and I don't believe you will find a comparable training value per dollar.

Puppies are ready to go home when they turn 8 weeks old. We will provide our address prior to your visit. You must schedule a pickup day and time in advance. We offer delivery subject to a delivery fee depending on location and our availability. Puppies must be paid for in full prior to departure from our home. We offer payment plans, but the payment must be completed in full prior to taking your puppy home. Plan for at least 30 minutes on the day of pickup to review and sign the puppy contract and for us to detail any other relevant information.

If you are picking your puppy up, plan in advance the details of the trip. Plan how often you need to stop for potty breaks. Bring bags for picking up vomit or feces. Plan where and how your puppy will be contained within your vehicle (in a crate, attached to a harness, etc.). 2/3 of our dogs got car sick when we brought them home for the first time, this is common in puppies and they can grow out of it, but be prepared!
